Sharon Taylor joined the Group in 1991 and has held several senior Human Capital leadership roles across Commercial Banking, Corporate and Investment Banking, and The Standard Bank of South Africa.

She became Group Head of Human Capital in 2014 and has served as Chief People and Culture Officer since January 2021, leading the Group’s people and culture strategy.

Sharon has received multiple industry recognitions, including CHRO of the Year at the 2023 CHRO South Africa Awards, along with awards in HR & Technology and Learning & Development. In 2019, she was also recognized for Strategy & Leadership and Transformation & Empowerment.
